Imogen Murphy is an Irish film and television drama director. Her recent work includes directing a feature-length episode of crime thriller Grace for ITV, starring John Simm. Previously she lead directed and executive produced thriller series The Vanishing Triangle starring Allen Leech, for Sundance Now and Virgin Media.
As lead director on period mystery drama Dead Still, starring Michael Smiley, Imogen was nominated for a ‘Best Director’ Irish Film & Television Academy award. The series was nominated for seven other IFTA awards including Best Drama, and for a Royal Television Society Drama award.
Previously she directed all six episodes of the second season of Can’t Cope Won’t Cope for RTÉ, BBC3 and Netflix. She also directed blocks of continuing series Hollyoaks and Red Rock for Channel 4 and Amazon.
Film work has seen her nominated for Royal Television Society and Irish Film & Television Academy awards for Cry Rosa, as well as winning numerous international short film awards.
A graduate of the Irish National Film School (IADT), Imogen is a member of BAFTA, IFTA, Directors UK and the Screen Directors Guild of Ireland.
